It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darrell P. Davidson, 56, of Riverview, on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 with his family at his side at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, on March 23, 1953, he was the son of the late James and Aurella (Surette) Davidson. Darrell was Assistant Manager of Wal-Mart in Dieppe, NB. He was an outdoorsman, his hobbies were fishing, swimming, bowling competitively and playing cards. However the family cottage was his favorite place to be. A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend he will be sadly missed by his wife Trudy L. Davidson, three sons Ron of Truro, NS., Don (Colleen) of Lewisville and Mike at home; four grandchildren Krista and Sarah, Spencer and Lauren; two brothers James (Betty) of Riverview and Don of Sackville; sister in law Bernadette (the late Billy Davidson) of Dieppe; two sisters Sheila Davidson (Eric) of Rimouski, PQ and Eileen Clarke (Ron) of Toronto; brother in law Ian Vaughn (the late Barbara) of Montreal, PQ; by several nieces and nephews; also by his best buddy Vic Fowler. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother Billy and a sister Barbara.
Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Donations in Darrell's memory made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care" would be appreciated by his family.
