Rupert Roberts, 77, 526 Main St., Sydney Mines, passed away at home on March 1, 2010.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Thomas) Roberts.
He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines.
He is survived by his son, Peter (Brenda Jackson), Sydney Mines; granddaughter, Destiny Hillier, Red Deer, Alta.; his sisters, Ada (George) Bungay, North Sydney, and Ethel Selsky, Toronto; and his brother, Jim (Theresa) Roberts, Trenton, N.S.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janie Capstick and his brother, Arthur Roberts.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. The funeral service will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines, with Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating. The burial will take place at a later date.
