Miller, Mrs. Roberta Blanche Jeanette - wife of the late Ira Miller and the late Elmer Hachey of Miramichi passed away Tuesday morning, March 2, 2010 at Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 92. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robinson Crocker and Annie Ellen (Innes) Vye. She was a homemaker, a member of St. James and St. Johns United Church and was very active in church activities until later years. She also was a member of UCW #2, Goodtimes Fellowship Senior Group, member of the Orange Lodge (L.O.B.A.) and member of the O.E.S., Newcastle. She is survived by four daughters, Cecelia Ellen Ann Bell (Robert) of Sioux Lookout, ON, Elizabeth Louise Hannah-Thomas (Bruce) of Moncton, Marion Joan Hachey (James) of Keswick, NB, and Penne Darlene Buckley (Paul) of Miramichi, one son, John Robinson Hachey (Mary) of Homestead, Florida, eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Besides her parents, and her first husband Elmer Hachey (1962), second husband Ira Miller (1985), she was predeceased by one son Gordon Elmer Paul Hachey, two step sons David Miller and Rev. Charles R. Miller, son in-law Lorne Flett, three sisters, Hazel, Marion and Connie, three brothers, Whitfield, Herb and Ben. Mrs. Roberta Blanche Jeanette Miller rested at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy., Miramichi with visitation on Thursday evening from 6-9. The Funeral Service was held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 11 am from Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Organist Mary Butler led the congregation in “Prayer of St. Francis†and “All the Way My Saviour Leads Meâ€. Soloist Mary Butler rendered “All My Days†and “On Eagle Wingsâ€. Readings were by Rev. Ron Feltmate and Patti Tremblay. Reflections and the Responsive Psalm were given by her daughter Ellen Ann Bell. Burial will take place in Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers donation to Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation or St. James and St. Johns United Church would be appreciated. Active Pallbearers were: Sean Buckley, Codie Hannah, Patrick Hannah, Brad Hannah, Joe Johnson and James Furlong.
