Lloyd Eugene Lewis, 77, of Dartmouth, passed away on March 8, 2010, in the QEII Health Science Centre, VG Site.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Milton and Christine Lewis.
(MWO) Lloyd served with the Royal Canadian Air Force for 32 years. After retiring he worked at IMP for 12 years. In his younger years he was an avid basketball player and also enjoyed various other sports.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Jean (Frye); sons, Paul (Laurie), Mineville, Stephen (Shari), Canning; brother, Douglas (Madge), Bedford; sister, Vera Reid, Newmarket, Ont.; nephew, Doug; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers, Alfred, Sidney and Earl, sisters, Mabel Wadden and Jean Hellam.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. Memorial service will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, Friday, March 12, 2010, at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in the funeral home reception centre. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
