93, Ogdensburg, N.Y. Funeral services for Catherine 'Booie' Lewis, 418 Paterson St., Ogdensburg, N.Y., will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral in Ogdensburg on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Terry LaValley officiating. Miss Lewis passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at the home of Tom and Donnie Luckie. Arrangements are with Frary Funeral Home. Miss Lewis is survived by several nieces and nephews, Colleen and Bob MacDonald, Halifax, N.S., Michael and Darlene Lewis, Halifax, Gary and Peggy Lewis, Bridgewater, Jamie Ross and Joyce Lewis, both of Moncton, N.B., Laurence Fraser, Elmer Fraser, Evelyn Jennings and Barbara Huntington, all of Edwardsville, Steve Fraser, East Bay, Joe Fraser, Dominion, and Marjorie Dow, Halifax; and several grand and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Evelyn and Eleanor Lewis and Loretta Fraser, three brothers, Austin, Simon and James Lewis and two nephews, Melvin Fraser and Russell Fraser. Miss Lewis was born on Aug. 10, 1915, in Edwardsville, Cape Breton, the daughter of William and Mary Joseph McGillivray Lewis. She moved to New York City to be with her sister, Eleanor. She was trained as an LPN and worked well into her 70s for many prominent families in New York City. In 1995, Miss Lewis moved to Ogdensburg and resided with Tom and Donna Luckie. She enjoyed children, cats, horseracing, politics and baseball. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Cathedral in Ogdensburg and very strong in her faith.
