Patricia “Pat”(nee Davis) Sutherland, 53, formerly of Westville passed away peacefully at the Trenton Memorial Hospital, Ontario on Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Ira “Dee” and Lena (Coughlin) Davis. Despite suffering a serious disability at the age of 17 years, she went on to try and improve life for the disabled. She was an original member of the Quinte West Accessiblity Advisory committee and had been employed for the past 15 years as co-ordinator for Quinte Access.
She is survived by her husband Stanley, of Trenton, half sister, Florence Kneeshaw, Dartmouth, foster brother to Don Davis (Joan), Carp, Ontario; special step mother to Donna Olding of Newmarket, Ont.; dear niece to Rita Cameron of New Glasgow, NS and remembered by her nephew, Jimmy, her niece Cyndi, her many cousins; special friend of Nadyne Mattis.
Visitations will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday from St. Paul United Church, Westville with Rev. Doug Pilsworth. Interment to take place in Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
