1926-2009 Glace Bay We, the family of Annie Kowalski, are very saddened to announce her passing on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Annie was a resident of Seaview Manor Nursing Home, Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Lena (Odo) Kowalski. Annie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In her younger years, Annie was an avid skater and bowler. Forever known for her quick wit, Annie will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her two special nieces, Paula Morrison and son, Samuel, Glace Bay, and Cathy Morrison (Sheldon), Glace Bay; special nephew, Jamie (Shelley); children, Bryson and Kaylia, Calgary, Alta. Annie is also survived by half-sisters, Sharon (Benny) Bennett, Beverley (Tommy) Wadden, both of Glace Bay; and special family member, J.B. Morrison. Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by her sister, June Morrison and her husband, Sammy, brother, Ralph Kowalski. The family of Annie Kowalski would like to thank the staff of Seaview Manor, 3rd Floor West at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex and Dr. Cadegan for the compassion and care over the years. There will be a private visitation and funeral for Annie Kowalski. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay.
