Brett Elizabeth McKinnon

1985-2008With heavy hearts we, the families of Brett McKinnon regret to announce her tragic passing. Brett, born Dec. 27, 1985, was the daughter of Lynn Singleton and Francis 'Fra' McKinnon and sister to Roland William 'BJ'. Brett is also survived by grandparents, Irene (Burton-Singleton) Moore; Lorraine MacLean (Sonny) and Charles (Briggon) McKinnon. With great sorrow, Brett will be sadly missed by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Brett touched the hearts of many who knew her. Her laughing eyes and beautiful shining smile will always remain in our hearts. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, 1-3 p.m. at Patten's Funeral Home, Union Street, Glace Bay, N.S. Brett's memorial service for immediate family only will follow the visitation in Patten's chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Brett can be forwarded to the Missing Children Society of Canada www.mcsc.ca.
