Sandra Mabel Fagan
1923 - 2010
Cap Pelé. N.B. – Sandra Mabel Fagan, age 87, of Cap Pelé, formerly of Port Elgin, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Monday, March 15, 2010.
Born in Port Elgin, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Stella Marie (Donelle) Fagan.
Sandra was known to be a kind and gentle person and enjoyed the company of her two pet turtles. She spent many years working as a medical secretary and in the hospitality industry throughout the United States and Central Canada before retiring to New Brunswick.
She is survived by one son, Eric “Danny” Ray L’oiseau of Montreal, PQ; seven brothers, Frank, Moncton, Valerie (Adrienne), Port Elgin, Gordon (Elsia), Vancouver, Roger (Jane), Woodstock, Rene (Rose), Terrace, BC, Tommy, Port Elgin, Raymond (Emmie), River Hebert, NS; three sisters, Marion Smith, Airdrie, AB, Blanche Hawes, Halifax, NS, Marjorie Latham, Port Elgin; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Matilda, Armeline and Lenita; as well as a brother, George.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 3 West Main St., Port Elgin (506-538-2241) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 2 p.m, Father Michael Toner officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral.
