Therese 'Tracy' Ann Oursin

55, Sydney It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tracy, at home on Tuesday morning, Jan. 13, 2009, with friends and family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Antigonish to the late Leonard G. and Margaret E. (Warner) Ryan. Tracy was a member of St. Theresa's parish. She was actively involved at an earlier time in the N.S. Society for Autism and also was a former employee of Nightingale Nursing Service. She is survived by her loving husband, David; daughter, Crystal Oursin (Joel Young), Halifax; and special son, Jason, Braemore Home. She is also survived by three brothers, Gerard (Janet), Mike (Jackie), both of Saskatchewan, and Leonard (Jeannie), P.E.I.; one sister, Elizabeth Forcey, Edmonton; best friend, Barbara Oursin; very special and caring cousin, Nancy Marchand; good friend and neighbour, Raylene George as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a younger brother, Martin and a special sister-in-law, Marie Ryan. Visitation for Therese 'Tracy' Oursin will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel, Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. as well as Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Theresa's Church, Saturday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Jim Oliver officiating. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Donations in Therese's memory may be made to C.B. Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society.
