Brian G. Gamble of Hampton, husband of Shirley (Taber) Gamble has gone to be with the Lord. His death occurred March 17, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Brian was born in Saint John, son of the late Reginald Eldon and Mary (Welch) Gamble. He worked at the Save Easy in Fredericton and Nackawic and later at the Nackawic Paper Mill retiring in 1990. Brian loved playing guitar and singing gospel music. He wrote many letters to the editor over the years. Brian enjoyed crossword puzzles and was involved with Facebook ministry. Surviving besides his wife Shirley are two daughters, Krista Carr (Ryan) and Kari Kennedy (Chris) of Fredericton; three grandchildren, Robyn and Payton Carr and Andrew Kennedy; one sister, Brenda Arthurs, Kingston, PEI; one brother, David Gamble, Ottawa; three aunts, Carrolle Buzzell and Winnifred Briggs of Maine, and Peggy Gamble, St. Martins; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Allan Gamble.
Visitation will be held at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton on Friday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Central Norton Baptist Church, Bloomfield. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
