Elizabeth 'Betty' (Mann) Goodyear

On Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney, at the age of 90. She was a daughter of the late Obed and Annie Mann. Betty attended Mount Allison University and was a graduate of the Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, Montreal. She was a long standing member of First United Church, Sydney. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Ray and her brothers, Nelson and Arthur Mann. She is survived by her son, Ted (Ruth), Ingonish; daughter, Ann Harvie (Tim), Oakville, Ont.; granddaughter, Karen Harvie, Toronto; sisters-in-law, Louise Mann, Sydney, and Joan Fulton, Paris, France; brother-in-law, David Goodyear, Port Hope, Ont. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. at First United Church, Sydney, with Rev. Wade Reppart officiating. Followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Sydney.
