The death of Lillian Mulherin Davenport occurred at Victoria Glen Manor, Perth-Andover, March 21, 2010. Born in Grand Falls on July 22, 1924, she was the daughter of Albyn and Eugenie (Castonguay) Mockler. At the age of 17, she married Evan Mulherin (in November 1941) and moved to the Grand Falls Portage. Evan passed away on March 17, 1963. Lillian was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves to mourn, her eight children by her first marriage: Barbara (Philip) Roach of Grand Falls, Geraldine (Robert) Collicott of Tobique Narrows, Juanita Mulhern of Moncton, Beatrice (Claude) Lamanque of Manitouwadge, Ontario, Dorothy (Paul) Bryant of Orangeville, Ontario, Joseph (Marie Dee) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Isabel (David) Arsenault of Saint John and Sandy Michaud of Grand Falls, 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Mockler (Fred) and Juanita (Mulherin) Malone. She was predeceased by one grandchild, Leigh Mulhern, one great great grandchild, Alexander Dunster, her second husband Irving Davenport, her sisters, Irene (Antonio) Gagnon and Dorothy (Maurice) Chevarie, her brother, Fred Mockler.
Resting at O\'Regan\'s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 24th at 11 a.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls with Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Interment will be in the Assumption Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Victoria Glen Manor, Perth-Andover, or to a charity of the donor\'s choice. www.oregans.ca
