Alma I. Keirstead, 88, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Born in Shepody NB, on February 10, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Daisy (Dunn) Leggett. She was retired from the T. Eaton Co. where she worked for 20 years. A very outgoing person, she enjoyed darts and was Captain of her Bowling Team. She is survived by her husband loving Merritt F. Keirstead; sister Audrey Parlee of Moncton and brother Lawson (Joan) Leggett of Kingston, ON; brother in law Gorham Douthwright of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she is also predeceased by her stepfather Benjamin Saunders; and by three sisters Alice, Verna Perry and Sadie Douthwright.
At Alma\'s request there will be no viewing at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
