The passing of Joan Eileen Richards of Whitby, ON, wife of the late Frank Richards passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 22, 2010. Born on June 10, 1934 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (West) Wilson. Joan is survived by her sons, Randy (Joan) Dongen of Whitby, ON and Clayton (Sherry) Vandongen of Scarborough, ON; daughter, Lezley (Sean) Robinson of Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly (Rob), Robert, Alexandra, Mackenzie and Marshall; great grandchildren, Aiden and Jacob; sisters, Lois Godsoe of Lower Hainesville, NB, Iona Brewer of Burtts Corner, NB and Rosalene (Garnet) Urquhart of Fredericton, NB; aunt and uncle, Reta and Alvin Sealy of Bristol, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her brothers, Laurence, Clyde and Basil Wilson. Joan loved to drive, she looked forward to the spring so she could get in her car to drive from Ontario to New Brunswick to see her siblings, daughter and grandchildren
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, March 25, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Burtts Corner Church of Christ on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11 am with Pastor Graham Crandall. Interment will take place at Burtts Corner Community Cemetery.
