Ronald 'Bugs' Joseph Campbell

75, Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Ronald 'Bugs' Campbell on Jan. 23, 2009, at the Glace Bay Health Care Facility, at the age of 75. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Dan and Agnes (McSween) Campbell. Ronald was employed with the Royal Canadian Military as an engineer for 28 years and served in Egypt and Lebanon on peacekeeping. After retiring he served as commissioner. Ronald was a member of St. John's Church. Ronald is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Brenda Diane (Ray), Glace Bay; sons, Ronald A. (Mary), Glace Bay, Francis (Carla), Glace Bay, and Stephen (Elizabeth), Sydney; sister, Florence (John Penny), Glace Bay; brother, Gordon (Laura) MacDonald, Glace Bay. Also surviving are grandchildren, David, Derrick Keith, Sean, Megan, Alison, Stephen and Perreeza; great-grandchildren, Liam, Haley, Katelyn, Haley and Brenda. Ronald was predeceased by sisters, Catherine 'TB', Jessie, brothers, Dan 'Dick', John 'Dewey', Stephen 'Ginn'. Cremation has taken place, visitation for the late Ronald Campbell will be held Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at 2 p.m. at St. John's Church, Fr. Leo Boone officiating. Burial in St. John's Cemetery at a later date.
