Antoinette Angel 'Nets' Lannon

61, Glace Bay Antoinette Angel 'Nets" Lannon, 61, of Glace Bay, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Reserve Mines, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Angeline (Burnett) McDonald. Nets was a member of St. Anne's Church, Glace Bay. She loved dancing and doing crafts, but mostly enjoyed the company of her dear family and friends. She is survived by her former husband, James Edward Lannon, Glace Bay; and two sons, James Patrick (Sonna) Lannon and Glen Edward Lannon. Also surviving are Nets' four brothers and seven sisters, Thomas, Raymond, Edmund, Anthony, Rose Roberts, Catherine Parsons, Hannah Young, Angeline MacDonald, Annie Smith, Rosella Murphy and Germaine MacDonald. She will be sadly missed by her four grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kristen, Mackenzie and Talal Lannon, along with her numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews. Nets was predeceased by two sisters, Julia Anderson and Mary Murphy. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the directions of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. The funeral mass, officiated by Rev. Leo Boone, will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, followed by a reception in the church foyer. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Reserve Mines. Condolences to the family can be expressed at www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
