48, Big Ridge It is with great sadness that we, the family announce the sudden passing of Dan Henry MacIntosh, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009. Dan was born in Marion Bridge, Feb. 3, 1960 , he was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth 'Betty' (MacAskill) MacIntosh and the late Myles MacIntosh. A resident of Big Ridge, Dan worked with his father, Myles, Uncle Syl and brother, Moe for 30-plus years operating MacIntosh's Esso in Dutch Brook. For a brief time, his son, Barren and nephew, Logan worked beside Dan in the garage. He was always loyal to his customers and well known for his sense of humour. Besides his mother, Betty, he is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Mary (Pasher) MacIntosh; his sons, Jamie MacIntosh, Ontario, Barren Pasher, Edmonton, as well as his niece, Nicole and nephew, Logan, Sydney, and best friend, Ron Gillis, Big Ridge. Besides his father, Myles, he was predeceased by his brothers, Syl and Myles 'Moe' and son, Willie Pasher. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, from 12-2 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating.
