Mary Frances (Hogan) MacMullin

72, New Waterford Mary Frances MacMullin, 72, of Oceanview Boulevard, New Waterford, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. Born in New Warterford, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Julie Anne (Hogan) Wilson. Mary was a member of the Parish of St. Leonard, St. Michael Church, River Ryan. She enjoyed her trips to the casino and loved reading, knitting and singing. In earlier years, she also loved to dance. Mary was known to have a green thumb and could make any flower come to life, especially her favourite, lilacs. Surviving are daughters, Barbara (William) Healey, B.C., Annabelle (Lloyd) Montgomery, Alberta, Mary MacMullin, Sydney, Ronda (William) Doyle, Ontario, Cora MacMullin, New Waterford; son, Michael MacMullin, New Waterford; brothers, Charles Hogan, Wilbert (Eileen) Smith, both of Scotchtown; sister, Margaret Harte, New Waterford; numerous precious grand- and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Margie Harte, Patricia Gatza and Tanya Dauphney. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Henry MacMullin, sons, William, Ronald and daughter, Marie. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral mass of celebration will take place Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at 11 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, St. Michael Church with Fr. Doug MacDonald officiating. Cremation will follow. A luncheon will be held at the Carmel Centre, New Waterford, immediately following the funeral mass.
