44, Halifax Sean Patrick McInnis, 44, passed away suddenly on Jan. 31, 2009, at his home in Halifax. Born in Sydney Mines, a graduate of UCCB and Acadia University, he was the son of Agnes (Sutherland) McInnis and the late Larry McInnis. Sean is survived by his partner and best friend of 23 years, Debbie MacInnis, Halifax; his mother, Agnes McInnis, Sydney Mines; his sister, Anne Christene (Neil) Whitfield, Belleville; and brothers, Lawrence (Lynne), Markham, Brian (Gena), Kentville, and Terry (Cathy), Ottawa. Sean was a much-loved uncle who will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephew, Christian, Jim, Darby and Shane MacInnis, Markham, Morgan, Laura and Kyly Whitfield, Belleville, Erin and Sarah MacInnis, Kentville, Meghan and Bridget McInnis, Ottawa, and Keith Kowalczyk, Howie Centre. A private family visitation will take place Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Donations in Sean's memory may be made to Feed Nova Scotia.
