It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of LUCY FROST, March 13, 2009 at Extendicare in Moose Jaw, with her family by her side. Born September 13, 1911 in Floodwood, Minnesota, Lucy came to Saskatchewan at the age of two years with her family. She married Percy in 1929 and the couple farmed in the Mitchellton area. Predeceased by her husband in 1975, son-in-law, George Hack - 1967, grandson, Ronnie Frost -1978, great-grandson, Matthew Hack – 1987 and son-in-law, Michael Thompson – 2005, Lucy is survived by son, Donald (Elaine) Frost; daughters, Pauline Hack and Gloria Thompson; grandchildren: Shelley (Paul) Stenning – Cochrane, Alta, Terry Hack – Penticton, B.C., Sherry (Joe) Cherewyk – Good Spirit Acres, Sask., Laurie Fraser – Saskatoon, Debbie (Lee) Lane – Balgonie, Duane (Lindsay Weger) Thompson – Balgonie; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons. To respect Lucy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Ina Grafton Gage Home and Extendicare Nursing Centre for the care given to Mom. In lieu of flowers, those so wishing may make a donation to a charity of their choice. In living memory of Lucy, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
