BETTY LEDERHOUSE (capitals, bold centered under picture)
Elizabeth “Betty” Lederhouse, age 81 years, of Edmonton, AB and formerly of Prince Albert, SK passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Prestonpans, Scotland on October 31, 1927. There, she met her husband George, a Canadian soldier on leave, during World War II. She moved to Prince Albert in 1947 where they were married and had three beautiful children. Betty is survived by her loving family: her three children Rod (Gail) Lederhouse of Regina, SK, Ann Rudnicki of Calgary, AB and Ken Lederhouse of Edmonton, AB; seven grandchildren Craig (Kimberley) Lederhouse of Vancouver, BC, Kerri Rudnicki of Calgary, Corey (Rob) Stevenson of Sherwood Park, AB, Angela (Jason) Lederhouse of Edmonton, Janet Rudnicki of Calgary, Ryan Lederhouse of Edmonton and Kayla Orten of Winnipeg, MB; three great-grandchildren Tyler McConnell, Grace Stevenson and Susanna Lederhouse. She was predeceased by her loving husband George; her son-in-law Steven Rudnicki; her daughter-in-law Pat; her parents James and Ann; her brothers Alec, Henry and James in Scotland; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, family and friends. A Celebration of Betty’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2 from St. Mark Roman Catholic Church – 589 – 9 Street East by Father Clifford Tremblay. This is especially significant, given her devotion and passionate involvement with the Parish, that mom and dad helped build over 60 years ago. A Private Family Interment will take place following the funeral mass at South Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca. It is the family’s request that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. RIVER PARK MEMORIAL CHAPEL is entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements. 764-2727, Phil Fredette, Funeral Director
