Sackville, N.B. – Grace Isabel Crossman of Sackville passed away peacefully at the Sackville Hospital with her family present on Nov. 2, 2007. She was the widow of the late Robert E. Crossman of Sackville. Born in Sackville Aug. 8, 1933 to the late William E. Wentzell and Daisy (O’Blenis), also of Sackville. The service was held at Jones Funeral home in Sackville on Nov, 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Hugh Davidson, with interment in the Dorchester Rural cemetery. At this time, the family would like to thank Jones Funeral Home, Mr. Davidson and the ladies of the Midgic Church that took care of the luncheon after the service. Our thanks also go out to the pallbearers that volunteered their help at a time when we were at a loss for what needed to be done - Charlie Stokes, Art Stokes, Daryll Mitton, Alan Snowdon, Karl Crossman, Wayne Berry, Mike Purdy and Laurie Hicks The family wishes to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours for all of your thoughtfulness, love and support shown to us after the loss of our mom. Thanks to all who attended. and the many cards and calls of support from those of you that were unable to be there in person but did send your thoughts and love. Mom will be missed by us all, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Grandsons - Christopher Estabrooks (Kim), James Jeffery Morice (Christina), Mike Purdy. Granddaughters - Carrie-Ann Heenan (Tim), Sandy-Lynn Davis (Jeff), Stacy Lee Cormier (Tim), Melanie Dawn Crossman Richardson (Jim), Tonia Nicole Morice (Adam), Stacey Purdy. Great Grandchildren - Amber, Shawn, Riley, Eric, Sarah, Brendan, Jake, Dillon, Thomas, Emily, Dylan, Lucas, Ethan, Alicia, Great great grandson - Mason (Estabrooks) - Amber's son, and two new babies due in Dec. ‘07, and Jan. ‘08 to Melanie and Jim and to James and Chrissy respectively. And, of course, her sons Greg Estabrooks (Cathy), Bill Crossman (Sandy), and her daughter Sharon Crossman (Tim Purdy); and her one brother Charles Wentzell of Victoria, B.C. Mom had a place in her heart for each of us and was always happy to have family and friends stop to see her. She was recently visited by her niece Gail Mitton, grandson James, and two of her granddaughters Melanie and Sandy Lynn, all from away. This visit, along with the many visits from her granddaughters Stacy, Tim and her family and Tonia and Adam, both of the local area, brought much joy to mom. Mom was also blessed with special friends like Norm Wry and family who were always there for her as well as Brian Novack and family, the son of her longtime friend who departed a few years earlier, leaving a void in mom’s life to have lost such a close friend
