The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, of Elaine Lois McKinnon (nee Parkman) of Summerside, aged 84 years. Elaine was born on Dec. 19, 1925, in New Glasgow, P.E.I., to her late parents Stewart and Janie (nee LePage) Parkman. Beloved wife of the late Sigurd McKinnon and also her first husband Don Bulman. Loving mother of Garth (Fran) Bulman of Charlottetown, Marlene (Barry) Bainard of Red Deer, Alta., and Robert (Donna) Bulman of York Point. Also lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Lyle (Elva) Parkman of Milton, Gladys (Reg) MacRae of Summerside, Norma (Howard) Watts of Alberta, Adele Parkman of the Summerset Manor, Summerside, and Hazel (Carl) Newson of Summerside. Besides her husbands and parents, Elaine was predeceased by her brother Oliver and her sister Bernice Parkman. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Saturday, April 3, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside, at a later date. Visiting hours Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service.
