It is with deepest sorrow that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother Elizabeth 'Betty' at the Northside General Hospital on March 31, 2010.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (McNeil) LeBlanc. She was a member of St. Pius X Parish and a member of the Parish CWL.
She is survived by her husband Peter Hawkins, Northside Guest Home; her daughters, Cathy (Tom White), Little Pond, Michelle (Terry Tremblett), Little Pond; her sons, Paul (Joanne), Sydney Mines, Terry, Guelph, David, Vancouver and Chris, St. Catharine's; her daughter-in-law Hilda Morrison, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Michael Morrison; her sons, John Robert and Michael; her daughter, Casilda; grandson Christopher and her brothers, Reggie and John.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church with Father Thomas John officiating.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Northside Guest Home Recreation Department or the Canadian Cancer Society.
