DERRICKSON, Doris B. - Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, avid tennis player and fan, singer, world traveler, died in St. John's, Newfoundland on March 27, 2010 at the age of 85. A long time resident of Huntsville, Alabama, she moved to the St. John's area to be near her daughter in December 2008. She resided at Kenny's Pond Retirement Residence. Predeceased by her husband Gardner nineteen years ago. She is survived by daughter Nancy Bennett (Arnold) of C.B.S.; son Richard (Susan) of New York; grandsons: Daniel Bennett (Sue Charen) of Washington, DC, and Jeremiah Bennett (Marnie) of Toronto; great-grandchildren: Elorah and Serafina; brother Hans Bauer (Eva), and many friends in St. John's and around the world. She was a generous supporter of Planned Parenthood and donations in her name can be made to Planned Parenthood, 203 Merrymeeting Rd., St. John's, NL A1C 2W6.
