The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, of Kenneth MacEwen, of Patrick Drive, Summerside, aged 74 years. Born in St. Peter’s Harbour, he was the son of Winnifred “Winnie” MacEwen, Halifax, and the late Harry MacEwen. Survived as well by his wife Teresa “Terry” (Bataller) MacEwen, sons, Blake, Traverse City, Michigan, Derek (Linda), Charlottetown, grandchildren, Megan Gallant, Moncton, Dylan, Brett and Niki MacEwen, Charlottetown. Predeceased by a son, Robert “Bob” MacEwen, and a sister, Ruth Lank. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. only. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital would be appreciated.
