Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, Bertha Horwood, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her parents: Stewart and Balinda Horwood; brother: Baxter and Joseph; sisters-in-law: Ruth, Bernice and Margaret and niece: Heather-Ann. Leaving to mourn are her brothers: John and Samuel (Helen); nieces: Wendy Flood and her family and Yvonne Armstrong (Guy); nephew: John Parsons (Mary) and his family; friends: Rita and Bob Norman and Elizabeth, as well as many other relatives and friends. Many thanks to the staff of Glenbrook Lodge for the kindness they showed "Bea" and her family. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Cremation will follow. Funeral service will be held from Barrett's Chapel on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
