It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maurice Hutchings announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point, NL on Monday August 18th 2008 in his 86th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ada nee Caines, his children; Curtis (Greta), Dora (Vince), Marjorie (Ira), and Garland (Vivian), his ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, brother Eustace (Una), sisters-in-law; Alva Hutchings and Mable Hutchings, brother-in-law; Garland Caines. Maurice was predeceased by his parents; Daniel and Elizabeth Hutchings, sisters Maude (Chris Roberts) and Dora (George Budgen), brothers; Stedman, Nath, and Roland, sisters-in-law Jane Hutchings and Nellie Hutchings. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Mary The Virgin Anglican Church in Cow Head, today Wednesday August 20th 2008 from the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday August 21st 2008, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Pratt and Rev. John Ollson officiating with the Burial to follow at the Anglican Church cemetery in Cow Head, the funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
