MATTICE, Robert "Wayne" -70, of Middleton, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Brickton, NS. Born in Ottawa, ON, he was a son of the late Harry and Ivy Mattice. After traveling the world with the Canadian Navy, Wayne retired from the Canadian Forces in the early 1990's from his last posting in CFB Greenwood. He had a passion for nice cars and motorcycles. He loved reading, history and spending time with his granddaughters. He is survived by stepdaughter, Stephanie (Matthew) Sancton, Halifax; stepson, Scott (Felicia) Veinot, Middleton, sister, Dale (Paul ) Morrison, California, USA; grandchildren, Abigale and Molly Sancton, and Charlotte Veinot. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Gayle and brother, Barry. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Saturday, April 3, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, Rev. Danny Smith officiated. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.
