MILLIGAN, Mary Barbara - 62, of Port George passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Chatham, NB, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Doris (Maher) Anthes. Barbara devoted her life to caring for her family whom she loved dearly, especially her grandchildren. She looked forward to her semi-annual visits with her parents while they were still living. She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Mill River, PEI and also loved her blue jays. She is survived by daughters, Karen (David) Cole, Nictaux; Jennifer Milligan, Berwick; brothers, Leonard (Jeanette) Anthes, Font Hill, ON; Noonan (Fay) Anthes, Riverview, NB; Tom (Anne) Anthes, Halifax and grandchildren, Keysha and Devin. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vern Milligan. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, where a memorial service was held Wednesday, March 31, 2010, Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiated. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Port George. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
