The death of Iva Mildred MacLeod, wife of the late Jesse MacLeod occurred on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Kings Way Care Center. Born 1920 in Lower Ridge she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (Landry) Forsyth. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sons Willard and Austin; brother Peter; sisters Hazel Mercer, Cora Dempster, and Nettie Coates. Iva was a retired school bus driver in school district 8. She is survived by sons Aubrey (Clara) of Havelock, Fred (Alice) of Rothesay, Harold (Carney) of Truro, NS, Reginald (Sharon), and David (Carolyn) both of Quispamsis; brothers Roy Forsyth of Hunter Lake and Sterling (Helen) of Kingston; daughter-in-law Helen; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery at a later date.
