Robert Cormier of St-Joseph, Memramcook passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 9 at age 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 13, 1943 in Cormier's Cove, he was the son of the late Alyre Cormier and the late Ida Gaudet. His high energy and industrious nature allowed him to develop numerous enterprises in construction and manufacturing industries. His most recent venture was the founding of RCA Metal Inc. Robert truly enjoyed spending time with his loving family and he was always looking for a new challenge. Robert will be sadly missed by his loving wife Renée O'Carroll, four sons whom he loved very much; Robin (Nicole), Julien (Sylvie), Damien and Eric all of Memramcook, four sisters; Georgeline (Rudy) LeBlanc of College Bridge, Marie (Aurele) Gaudet and Claudette (Emery) Landry both of Dieppe and Rosaline (Ira) LeBlanc of Southington, CT, five brothers; Leonce (late Aline) of Saint John, Jean-Guy (Yvonne) of St-Joseph, Leonel (Armelle) of Little Dover Rd, Alphonse (Cecile) of Grand Barachois and Euclide (Paulette) of Memramcook; four precious grandchildren: Dominic, Samuelle, Miguelle and Simon and by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook on Tuesday, April 13 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Wednesday, April 14 before the funeral mass. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas de Memramcook RC church, on Wednesday, April 14 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. In Robert's memory, donations can be made to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Oncology Centre. Arrangements are in care of Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. www.dupuisfuneralhome.ca
