McCABE, Cindy Ann - 48, of Meadowvale passed away on Monday, April 5, 2010 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton surrounded by her family. Born in Sudbury, Ontario she was a daughter of Amanda (Stronach) Robar, Wilmot and the late Lloyd Burton Mielke. Cindy was previously employed as an Early Childhood Educator in Ottawa and Nova Scotia. She truly loved children. She was very involved with the Middleton Baptist Church having taught Sunday School and involved with many programs that had anything to do with children. Cindy was a devoted "hockey mom" and loved the ocean and going camping. She enjoyed Keji, White Point and family get-togethers at Karen's cabin in Margaretsville. Lastly the whole family was able to accomplish their dream by attending the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. She is survived by her mother Amanda Robar, Wilmot; loving husband Kevin; daughter Leah; sons Michael and Connor, all of Meadowvale; sister Sandra Mielke (Brian Connell), Kitimat, BC; step-sister Rebecca "Becky" Robar, Meadowvale; brother Earl (Jackie) Mielke, Bridgewater; step-brothers Jeff (Joanne) Robar, Nine Mile River; Tim (Cindy) Robar, Margaretsville; Godmother Marlene Stronach, Middleton and very special friend and cousin Karen Stronach, Nictaux. She was predeceased by her father Lloyd Mielke and step-father Donald Robar. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held Friday, April 9, 2010 in the Middleton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, April 10, 2010 in the Middleton Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Smith officiated. A reception for family & friends followed the service.
