Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home on April 13, 2010, Marjorie Ida Peddle of St. John's, at the age of 99 years. Predeceased by her son Gordon. Left to mourn son Jack (Denise) of St. John's, NL; daughters: Jeannette Brodie of AB., and Judy Vey (Jack) of Kelligrews; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Joyce Peddle (Phil); son-in-law Nelson Durdle (Joan); sister Audrey McGee (Len) of NB and sister-in-law Genevieve Sparkes. Special friends: Nellie Mews and Susan Pretty, also many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 1-9 p.m. and on Thursday, April 15, 2010 from 9-11 a.m. Funeral service to be held on April 15, 2010 at 2 p.m. from The Salvation Army, St. John's Temple, Torbay Road. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army St. John's Temple, Youth Band.
