Jerry Gordon Silvea of Springhill, born March 6, 1946 to Ida (Gabriel), Springhill and the late Wesley Silvea Sr. passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at his residence.
Over the years Jerry had many jobs which he enjoyed. He recently retired from the Town of Springhill and prior to that worked as a driver at the Springhill Institution, the post office and as a school bus driver. Jerry's first love was his family and friends followed closely by music, dancing, the water, his trucks, fishing and mechanical tinkering. Jerry will be sadly missed and forever loved by those that knew him.
He leaves behind his loving wife Edith (Johnson) Silvea; sons Chris (Sandra) Berry, Washington, TJ (Helen) Downey, Hamilton, ON, and Wesley (Donna) Silvea Jr. of Hillsborough, NB; brother, Larry (Donna) Silvea, Springhill, brother by choice Michael Gabriel, Calgary; sisters, Lucille Silvea, Eunice (Al) Chaulk, Denise (Roy) Hunter, all or Springhill, Louise (Al) Graves and Edith Faye (Fred) Brennan of Ontario; several grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ronnie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from noon until the time of the funeral. Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home at 2 pm. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
