Stanley (Stan) L. Bolstridge passed away on April 17, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, he was 73. Stan bravely dealt with cancer for 11 years with his devoted wife of 53 years, Roberta (Morris) Bolstridge by his side. An avid fisherman, Stan was always ready to tell a fish tale or two. He spent many hours tending his garden and sharing mountains of fresh vegetables with friends and family. A cat lover at heart, he took very good care of Lillan, who he and Bobbie rescued. Stan was a loving family man to daughters Ruth (Dana) McAllister of Kennebunk, Maine, Dede (Gerard) Boyd of Johnville, N.B. and Katie (Frank) Thompson of Oxford, North Carolina. His passion was his grandchildren: Keith, Michael and Nicole McAllister; Lindsey and Stuart Keilty; Jack, Tommy and Sam Thompson, and great-grandchildren Adrianne McAllister, Caitlynn and Michael McAllister. Stan is also survived by sister Alice Bolstridge of Presque Isle, Maine, and brothers Nelson Bolstridge of Portage Lake, Maine and Bruce (Christine) Bolstridge of Houston, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents A. Stanley and Mildred Bolstridge of Portage Lake, Maine, as well as his brother Rodney Bolstridge and sister Cherry Danker.
There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted with Scott Funeral Home & Crematorium, 815 Main Street, Woodstock.
