Born in Long River December 8, 1922 daughter of the late Everett and Eliza (Brown) Paynter. Beloved wife of 67 years to Henry Meek. Dear mother of Gerald (Jean), Summerside; Stephen (Corinne), Whitby, Ontario; Jane (David) Younker, Kingston; Janice (Ricky) Trowsdale, Summerside and Darin (Kathleen), Charlottetown. Mother in Law of Eleanor Meek, Charlottetown. Loving Grandmother to Tammy, Jamie, Sherri (Gerd Pohlers), Tracy Plaggenhœf (Derrick), Amanda, Jeff, Cory Trowsdale, Melissa Trowsdale, Chalyce, Taylor, Step Grand-children Jœy Trowsdale, Ernest Trowsdale, Flo Younker, Kellie-Lynn Younker and Ann Younker. Great-grandmother of Ashley and Amy Plaggenhœf, Harper and Oliver Pohlers Meek and Sebastan Trowsdale. Sister of Margaret Coles, and Clair (Lydia). She was predeceased by her sons Roger and David and brothers Waldo (Mildred) and Ivan (Gladys) and brother-in-law Edwin Coles.
She was a member of the Kensington Legion Ladies Auxilary, Life Member of Coronation W. I., St. Mark's A. C. W. and the Kensington Seniors club. Special thanks to the first response unit of the Stratford Fire Department for their help at the scene. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Wednesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10: 30 a.m. Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Church Cemetery, Spring Brook.
