Cecilia Brun, 71, of Cap-Pelé and formerly of Arlington, Mass passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Port Elgin, February 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Imelda (LeBlanc) Brown. She attended Ste. Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church in Cap-Pelé. Cecilia will be greatly missed by her husband Claude, their children: Bernard (Willie) of Hudson, MA, Charles of Rochester, NH, Emilie Brun of Medford, Mass, Claudette Sgroi (John) of Woburn, Mass, 12 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. She is also survived by two sisters: Isabelle Flowers (Bill) of Arlington, MA and Rose Coyle of Toronto, ON and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Carmelite (2005) and by two brothers: Rodrigue (2003) and Albert Brown (2009).
The family will receive condolences on Friday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Saturday, from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:50a.m. at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 11a.m. Special thanks to the Shediac Extra Mural Hospital staff for the excellent care.
