1921 - 2010 - Thelma Bourque, 88 passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 20th, at the Dr. G. L. Dumont Hospital. Born April 26th, 1921 in Ottawa ON, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Fauteux and Mary-Ellen Bigras. She is sadly missed by her two sons David (Margaret), Laurie (Cecile) as well her two daughters Lorraine LeBlanc (George) and Denise Allan (David). She was a loving grandmother to her six grandchildren; Rick, Natalie, Bridget, Chris, Stefanie and Michel as well as her extended grandchildren; Marc, Amanda, Michael and Jessica. She was also proud of her five great grandchildren. She is survived by one brother Ted of St. Catherine's ON as well as three sisters; Norina, Adrienne, and Jeanne all of Ottawa. She also leaves three sisters-in-law Alfreda and Maria of Moncton and Evangeline of San Francisco, as well as several nieces and nephews. Thelma was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Leonard (1996) and two brothers Elmo and Nelson both of Ottawa. Her most precious moments in life were when her family gathered at her home for family dinners and holiday gatherings.
The will be no visitation prior to the memorial service to be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday, April 26th at 2:00 pm, Father Phil Mulligan presiding. A reception for Thelma's friends and family will follow the service in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
