1928 - 2010 - Vaughn Ernest Irving, 81, of Sussex, N.B. and formerly of Hillsborough passed
away on April 24th, 2010 at the Sussex Health Center. Vaughn was born in Hillsborough, N.B. on September 30th, 1928 the son of the late Emory and Glendora (Steeves) Irving. He worked for the Department of Transportation for 32 years before his retirement. He attended the Faith Baptist Church in Sussex. Vaughn was a kind man who would go the extra mile to help those who needed it, even if he went without. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle, who will be remembered for his great sense of humour and smile. He will be deeply missed by his brother-in-law, Karl Shaffer of Hillsborough; nephews, Gerald Shaffer of Riverview, Ken Shaffer of Kitchener, Ont. and niece, Janice Morgan (Harold) of Dawson Settlement. He will also be missed by several great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters, Helen Shaffer, Louise Steeves (Keith) and brother, Roy Irving (Donna).
Honoring Vaughn's own wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in the Grey's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough at a later date. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Vaughn's memory would be appreciated by the family.
