At the Q.E.II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, N.S. on Saturday April 24, 2010 of S. Bruce Profitt of Wilmot Valley aged 79 years. Born in Freetown, July 24, 1930, son of the late Allison and Ruby (Dennis) Profitt. Husband of Marion (Millar) Profitt. Father of Beverly (Bob) Rayner, New Glasgow, N.S.; Norma Jean Profitt, Fredericton, N.B. and Brian (Marcella) Profitt, Lower Freetown. Grandfather of James Rayner, Toronto and Trevor Profitt and Marissa Profitt, Lower Freetown. Brother of Douglas (Rena) Profitt, Lower Freetown and David Profitt, Saskatoon, Sask. Brother-in-law of Jim Girvan, Halifax; Erving Millar, Summerside; Vernon (Helen) Millar, Kelvin Grove; Gerald (Marion) Millar, Kelvin Grove; Astrid (Edwin) Johnson, Kensington, and Betty Millar, Kensington. Predeceased by his sister Betty Girvan; brother Donald Profitt, a sister in infancy; sisters-in-law Eileen Profitt and June Millar and brother-in-law Edgar Millar. He was a member of Hiram & Lebanon Lodge No. 3 AF & AM, Summerside. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. No visitation by personal request. Public funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Following the service the family will receive guests at the Freetown United Church. Interment later in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Prince County Hospital Foundation.
