HAWBOLDT, Sydney "Myron" - 59, Windsor, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 11, 2010, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, he was a son of the late Guy and Grace (Hartt) Hawboldt. Myron worked on David Frank's farm in Wentworth and at Newcombe's bottle exchange and other odd jobs. He is survived by brothers, Avery, Windsor; Richard (Shirley), Burlington; Raymond (Frances), Bramber; Grant (Donald), Halifax; Leonard (Frances), Wentworth; Lloyd (Janet), Tonge Hill; sisters, Melvina (Wendell Swinamer), Newport Station; Madeline, Mary, Irene (Grant Northup), Ida (Steven Smardon), all of Windsor; Elizabeth (Donald Spencer), Summerville; step brothers, Carl and Don Sweet, Ontario; step sisters, Ellen and Gloria, Ontario; Dorothy (Avery Mason), Hillsvale; Doreen (Ted Eagles), Martock; many nieces and nephews and special friend and neighbour, Amanda Berry and Junior MacDonald. Myron was predeceased by brothers, Leroy, Gerald, Graydon, Leslie and Cedric; sister, Ruth; step mother, Blanche Sweet; step sister, Joyce. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lohnes - DeMont Funeral Service Ltd., 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317), where the family received visitors Tuesday, April 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in Lohnes - DeMont Funeral Service Chapel, Rev. Jeffrey White officiated. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Myron may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, Hants Community Hospital, 89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or to a charity of one's choice.
