DUNN, William Lawson (Arnold) - 93, of Nakile Home for Special Care, formerly of Central Argyle, Yarmouth Co., passed away April 26, 2010 at Nakile Home for Special Care. Born in Lower Argyle on September 7, 1916, he was the son of the late Arthur A. and Louise A. (Langthorne) Dunn. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Pubnico. He worked in the construction business for 10 years and did work on the Yarmouth Airport. He was a superintendant at the Municipal Home in Argyle for 23 years along with his wife. He is survived by daughter, Marjorie (Alvin) Murphy, Central Argyle; son, Harold (Anita), Central Argyle; sisters, Violet (Jack) Cann, Brooklyn; Addie (Victor) Eldridge, Yarmouth; Joyce (Donald) Eckel, Brooklyn; Doris (Bud) Webster, Yarmouth; Mathleen (George) MacDonald, Yarmouth; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by wife, Eleanor; sister, Edith Churchill; son-in-law, Alvin. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Wednesday, April 28 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held Thursday, April 29 at 11 a.m., Rev. A.D. "Bill" Newell officiated. Both took place in Sweeny's Funeral Home. Interment took place Friday, April 30 at 11 a.m. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in memory may be made to Nakile Home for Special Care or to the Western Counties Regional Library Yarmouth Branch.
