Edith Althea Miller, wife of Roy C. Miller, died at the Grand Manan Hospital on May 1, 2010. Edith was born in Temperance Vale on January 27, 1936. She was raised in Fredericton and attended city schools, graduating from NB Teacher's College in 1955. Mrs. Miller was a daughter of the late Henry J. B. Stairs and Julia Margaret (MacElwain) Stairs. She taught school for thirty years, most of that time at Grand Manan High School as an English teacher and sports coach. Survivors include her husband Roy, her daughter Megan E. Lucas (George), two granddaughters Morgan and Hayley, two brothers Amber and Garnet and sister Joan Marie of Minto. She was predeceased by her youngest brother John. Mrs. Miller was a member of the North Head United Baptist Church, Sunday School, and Women's Missionary Society. She was a member of the NB Retired Teacher's Association.
Family members will be receiving condolences at the North Head United Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 4th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev.
