It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eric Bowen announce his passing on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 at the age of 74 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 47 years Joan (nee Philpott); daughter Dianne; sons: Kenneth (Lynn) and Douglas; two precious grandchildren: Justin and Reilly; sister Laura Sceviour; brother Eli (Sue); sisters-in-law: Belinda Yetman and Teddy Bowen, brother-in-law Donald Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father and mother Lionel and Rebecca, brother Albert, sister Sadie Smith, brothers-in-law Bruce Tibbs and Maxwell Yetman. He will be remembered by his hunting buddies Melvin, Reg, Lionel and Ross, and fishing buddy Norman. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 5th at 11:00 a.m. from St. David of Wales Anglican Church, Pasadena with Rev. Edmund Laldin and Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy no flowers by request donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook.
