After a long, full and enjoyable life, mom passed away at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, May 2, 2010.
Ruth was born in Winterton, Nfld., daughter of Florence and Ebenezer Andrews, August 7, 1914.
While living 22 years in Sydney, she was an active member of St. John's Church, Mira Road, St. John's Ladies Guild and Alexander Society.
Ruth was predeceased by husband, William R.; son, Raymond and daughter, Margaret Jean; three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by sons, Lloyd (Shirley), Stephenville Crossing, Lester (Evelyn), Sydney, Kevin (Phyllis), Ontario, Glen, Ontario; daughters, Verna (Larry), Kentucky, Fran (Steve), Halifax, Gloria (Carl), South Carolina; brother, Robert (Effie), Winterton, Nfld.; 19 grandchildren; as well as great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Russell's Funeral Home, Stephenville. Private family service and burial will be held in Stephenville Crossing, May 5, 2010.
Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
