With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce that Larry Patrick Callewaert passed away on May 1, 2010 in Kamloops, B.C. at the age of 63 years.

He is survived by his very special friend Joyce Grahn and her family, his loving children: son Mike (Yvette) and their three children, daughter Nicole (Lawrence) Fast and their four children, daughter Tiffany, sons Maklen and David, his step-mother Louise Callewaert, sisters: Lee Callewaert, Pat (Dave) Hill and Annette Visona, step-son Dustin Zinger, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Larry was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Margaret, his second wife Debbie and brother-in-law Ernie Bodin.

Larry was born on June 23, 1946 in Port Alberni. In his younger years, Larry cherished his time with Jean Callaghan and her family, she was a great support. Through Larry's working career he enjoyed many occupations from his most recent with the Brain Injury Society to truck driving, maintenance man, construction and business owner. He had the joys of moving around the province and living in places such as Mission, Prince George, McBride, Mackenzie, Cranbrook and finally, Chase. He had many hobbies and enjoyed music. Larry touched many lives, both personally and professionally. He was always willing to lend a hand, was talented in many areas and he had such a great sense of humor, being the "life of the party" at many gatherings.

We wish to thank Dr. Brink and staff, as well as the comforts given by Father Forde.

You are invited to join family members for viewing on Friday, May 7, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 177 Tranquille Road. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 857 Seymour Street, Kamloops, B.C. V2C 2H6.
