Passed away on Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at the Miller Centre in St. John's, after a courageous battle with cancer, Cyril Whycliffe Anstey of Corner Brook at the age of 79 years. Leaving behind his loving wife of 58 years: Helen (nee Vincent); children: Kenneth (Linda), Ellen Joy (David), Gary, Gerald (Sherry), Darren, Shirley (Mike), Rosellena (Tom) and Francis (Denise); grandchildren: Philip, Michael (Jesso), Tyler (Webster), Patrick, Jeremy, Zachary and Sarah (Jesso); sisters-in-law: Florence (Fred) and Letty (Gordon); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceasd by his brothers: Fred, Eric, Gordon and Wilfred; sister: Dorothy (Dot Wight); parents: John and Rose Anstey; and parents-in-law: Francis and Mary Vincent. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre's Funeral Home Chapel, St. Marks Avenue with cremation to follow.
