Leon Oran Parnell, 80, Halifax NS, died Friday April 30th, 2010 in Dartmouth NS. Born 30th of April in Charleston NS he was the 8th child of Elisha Hastings and Lillian Bessie (Firth) Parnell. He is survived by sister Erma Conrad, Charleston NS: brothers Wallace Parnell (Theda), Brooklyn NS, Ross Parnell (Ruby) Wile's Lake NS, Arthur Parnell, Vancouver BC & Douglas Parnell (Judy), Charleston; thirty one nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Mildred Woodsworth, Esther Delong, Elsie Freeman, Edra Wentzell and brother Malcolm Parnell. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside committal service took place at the Old Charleston Cemetery, Saturday May 8th. Donations may be made to Inn From The Cold, Bridgewater NS.
